Larmandier-Bernier Longitude 1er Cru NV

The name here refers to the vertical nature of the the geographic locations of the vineyards as well as the style of wine resulting from the very chalky soils of these sites ie., a more linear, mineral style of wine. The vineyards are located in Cramant, Avize, Oger and Vertus. This is a 100% chardonnay or blanc de blancs, where the vineyards from which it is drawn have top soils that are thin and the vine’s roots plunge straight into the chalky bedrock. With a blend made up of 40% reserve wines and a dosage of 4g/L this champagne is a pure, mineral style straight from the chalky Côte des Blancs terroirs.

As its name suggests it is linear, lean and leaves a lingering chalky salinity on the palate.
