Blanc de Noirs (100% red grapes)
Blanc de Noirs, translating to ‘white from blacks’, is a fruit-forward and riper style of champagne made with only ‘black’ (red-skinned) grapes. These champagnes may highlight a single variety—either 100% Pinot noir or 100% Meunier—or may be a blend of both. Typically, though, Pinot noir dominates in Blanc de Noirs champagnes.
These cuvées are rich and expressive with red fruit, earth and subtle spice, making them incredibly food-friendly and especially compatible with savoury, hearty dishes.
