An innovative style of champagne rosé from a specialist Blanc de Blancs producer. ‘Rosé for Albane’, named after Péters’ daughter and first introduced in 2007, is chardonnay based with a rosé de saignée from meunier grapes blended in giving the beautiful colour.
4 in stock (can be backordered)
With 60% Chardonnay fruit from le Mesnil-sur-Oger blended with 40% meunier in the form of a saignée rosé. The result is a perfectly balanced combination of fresh minerality of the Côte de Blancs with a slight hint of herbal savouriness prevalent in a meunier based champagne rosé. The dosage is seven to eight grams per litre.
The prettiest of pinks in the glass, this wine has a fresh lightness to the nose. Its taste is a wondrous combination of clean minerality and an underlying hint of tart savouriness. The flavours are reminiscent of blood oranges with a lively finish.
Best enjoyed from a Lehmann Jamesse Prestige, Grand Champagne 45 handmade glass.
Tuna carpaccio with caramelised onion jam and a hint of mint.
