Based in the Premier Cru village of Ludes in the Montagne de Reims, Champagne Huré Frères was founded just over 50 years ago by Raoul Huré, a skilled vine grower, and the Estate continues to be a close-knit family-run business today. Sharing a common vision of respecting and expressing each varietal and terroir, the House is now run by Raoul’s sons, François and Pierre (the winemaker and viticulturist, respectively), who together cultivate 10ha of vines across several diverse villages in the Montagne de Reims, with plantings of Pinot noir, Meunier and Chardonnay.
A traditional approach is taken in the vineyards, with a focus on sustainable and organic management, minimising herbicides, and using organic composts and natural ground cover to encourage the growth of healthy, ripe grapes. Each village, varietal and parcel is vinified separately to preserve purity and personality. The wine is aged on lees for a substantial period (an average of three years for the introductory cuvée, Invitation NV), and a solera of reserve wine is continuously maintained. These are all enormous undertakings that reflect the brothers’ passion and commitment to crafting artisanal, finessed and elegant champagnes with character.

Each cuvée in the Huré Frères portfolio achieves precision and balance—richly textured and vibrant, underscored by great acidity—to compliment all types of food, especially robust, seasonal winter menus. For lovers of vintage cuvées, Instantanée is a blend of equal parts Pinot noir, Meunier and Chardonnay that is produced annually and finished with a low dosage to provide a ‘snapshot’ of each unique harvest.
