A sophisticated apéritif style champagne rosé. The Champenois say a magnum is the superior choice. With twice the volume of a standard bottle and the same neck size, there is less exposure to air and the champagne matures more slowly. Produced using 100% pinot noir grapes in a blend of 50% current vintage and 50% reserve wine from a solera of ten vintages, with dosage of 8g/L. Using the ‘assemblage’ method, 15% of a still red wine from Bouzy is added to the white wine base to create the beautiful colour.
Inspired by Coco Chanel’s iconic perfume, each release is designated a different number to denote the variations in colour.
Red cherry, strawberry, watermelon and pink pepper flavours can be detected in this crisp and elegant champagne. A waft of rose petal perfume greets the nose. Its finish is long, with chalky minerality and well-executed tannins.
Enjoy as an apéritif with heirloom tomatoes with buffalo mozzarella, basil and extra virgin olive oil.
