From chalk soils, Chardonnay passes into the skilful hands of Pascal Agrapart to become Terroirs —a delightfully vinous and briny cuvée with profound minerality in direct translation of its legendary terroir.

Terroirs is a Blanc de Blancs champagne comprising 100% Chardonnay sourced exclusively from the Grand Cru villages of Avize, Cramant, Oger and Oiry in the Côte des Blancs—Chardonnay’s homeland in Champagne.
Terroirs is always a blend of two consecutive vintages with a large proportion (50-60%) allocated to reserve wine. Vines have an average age of 40 years, and fruit is manually picked before undergoing natural fermentation. Half the wine is matured in neutral oak, and all wine spends up to 48 months on lees.
These remarkable and considered practices, along with Agrapart’s dedication to natural viticulture, fully express the chalky depths of the celebrated Côte des Blancs terroir, bestowing its enthralling minerality and delicious vinosity upon this incredibly emblematic Blanc de Blancs champagne.
Dosage is limited to 5 g/L, and this release was disgorged by hand in June 2019.
Terroirs opens with concentrated aromas of mandarin, apple and orange blossom before expanding on the palate into generous flavours of citrus fruit, flint and fine minerals. A textured aftertaste of guava—fragrant and fleshy—precedes a long and chalky, refreshingly briny finish that beautifully transposes the pure minerality of the Côte des Blancs terroirwith great depth, precision and vinosity.
Best enjoyed from the Lehmann Jamesse Prestige, Synergie 75 glass.
Perfectly steamed white asparagus served with Ossetra caviar, or freshly shucked Coffin Bay oysters served four ways—natural, with only lemon wedges and mignonette, then grilled, as oysters Kilpatrick and Mornay.
