Presenting the ultimate character study of the Montagne de Reims’s mightiest terroirs; the Grand Cru villages of Bouzy and Ambonnay, this champagne tasting experience offers two Blanc de Noirs champagnes courtesy of Champagne André Clouet – a first-rate specialist in Pinot noir.
It is also a unique opportunity to discover and taste the difference between Brut and Brut Nature champagne styles. We recommend tasting Grande Réserve, with its impeccably judged dosage, and Silver, without dosage, side by side for the complete wine tasting experience.

Inextricably tied to Champagne’s history and the Montagne de Reims region, the Clouet family have resided in Champagne since 1492, first serving as printers making books for the king from 1491 and throughout the 18th century in Louis XV’s royal court, to producing their first champagne in Bouzy in 1741.
‘I like the idea of the work of human hands in pruning, performing the same actions as my grandfather and even the Romans, who planted vines here 2000 years ago.’ Two hundred and eighty years on and Jean-François Clouet (André Clouet’s grandson) now heads the family Domaine, upholding his family’s legacy by taking a traditional approach in the vineyards, cultivating 8ha of prized Pinot noir by hand from the best mid-slope sites in the Grand Cru villages of Bouzy and Ambonnay. Avoiding the use of herbicides and applying a strict sorting process during harvest ensures that cuvées maintain the freshness, elegance and purity that has come to epitomise the Clouet style.
Terroir expression is another goal of Jean-François, who conveys the fantastic minerality of Pinot noir from pure chalk soils through careful winemaking and the use of low dosage. He also purchases fruit from 60ha of growers’ vines, producing an incredible 600,000 bottles annually to market in all five continents—an approach that guarantees that supply meets demand while providing exceptional value. The resulting champagnes are concentrated and full-bodied yet elegant and refined illustrations of Pinot noir from the Montagne de Reims, perfect for pairing with food.
This champagne tasting experience offers a wonderful introduction to a first-rate specialist in Pinot noir and presents a unique opportunity to discover and taste the difference between Brut and Brut Nature champagne styles.
—deeply rooted in two of Montagne de Reims’s mightiest terroirs, Grande Réserve is a Blanc de Noirs champagne comprising 100% Pinot noir from the Grand Cru villages of Bouzy and Ambonnay. Vines sit on the best mid-slope sites, and soil is composed of chalk and clay, resulting in supernatural expressions of Pinot noir—powerful and pure yet complex—with a finish that lingers with baked bread and gorgeous minerality.
—the zero-dosage version of Grande Réserve, Silver is a rich yet elegant and searingly dry Blanc de Noirs champagne assembled from 100% Pinot noir from Bouzy and Ambonnay. Vines sit on the best mid-slope sites, and soil is composed of chalk and clay, resulting in wonderful maturity and balance of fruit. Late harvesting allows for further sugar development, rendering the addition of dosage completely unnecessary, as Pinot noir’s personality is fully expressed.
